Hey friend!
I'm glad you're here.
WELCOME TO THE
I joined Beautycounter 8 years ago.
In April they closed (forever???).
NOW WHAT??
WELCOME TO BEAUTYCOUNTER'S "IN-BETWEEN" ERA! π£
The BREAK is over!
I am so excited to share that you will have the opportunity to shop those much loved Beautycounter products directly, with my personalized link, starting November 1 for a limited time!
While this is not Beautycounter's return - that isn't expected until 2025 - it is a chance to shop your favorites to carry you until then.
π§΄What's available?
The products being offered in this shopping event are those that would have normally been sold this year, so all expirations are good. There may be some holiday throw backs or never before seen goodies! However, quantities are limited so you are encouraged to shop early.
πTell me how to shop!
If you plan to shop, please use my personal advocate link! This is the first time since Beautycounter closed in April that we have had the chance to earn from client orders. During this in-between time we have limited site functioning + I will not be able to place orders on your behalf.
IMPORTANT: If you visit my link + then leave the site/cart for more than 72 hours, it will default back to Beautycounter's generic link + I will not get credit for your order. Please ensure that my name is showing at the top of the screen (as shown here) + that the website url ends with my name (see below).
Over these last 8 years, Beautycounter had been my passion project; the thing I looked forward to doing on the side. The thing that I loved pouring time + energy into. Now that I've had time + space to reflect I've come to realize that:
- Beautycounter might not return.
- If they do return, I don't know if there will be a space for me as an advocate.
- I'm missing the community + connection that came from serving my clients + teammates.
- I'm missing the creative outlet that this work provided.
- If I want to keep my passion for clean beauty alive + my skills sharp, I can't stop now.
- I'm not getting any younger!
Beautycounter consultants have scattered across several similar "clean" brands, with Arbonne, Shaklee, Oliveda, + Crunchi being the most popular. After much research + deliberation (I'm talking a full compare/contrast spreadsheet for 14+ different clean-ish brands) I have selected not one but two companies to partner with.βπΌ I don't see this as moving on, but adding to my toolbox. I'm still 100% dedicated to helping you make safer choices + having your best skin ever, whether it's Beautycounter or something else.
I'm also partnered with CRUNCHI. π
Why they stand out: I would say that of all the brands I researched, they are the most similar to Beautycounter in terms of advocacy, ingredient safety, transparency, + sustainability.
What they offer: They have a modest range of skin care, body care, + makeup.
What I've tried so far: I purchased two products to start - the charcoal bar + the lip oil (my first Beautycounter products were the lip gloss + charcoal bar).
First impressions: The charcoal body bar is HUGE (like 2x the size of Beautycounter's). The lip oil is definitely different from a lip gloss but I love the color + the feel (smooth, not sticky). Bonus, it comes in a glass tube! I also purchased their powder shadow bar, In Bloom, + it is gorgeous.
Price point: Similar to or better than Beautycounter's.
Clean factor: On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being Beautycounter's standard of clean) I would rate them as a 10, if not even a little bit cleaner.
Current promotions: 20% off for first time buyers; 20% off for brand advocates
I'm also partnered with OLIVEDA (Olive Tree People). π«
Why the stand out: This brand has been in Europe for 20+ years + just launched in the US. They set themselves apart from other brands with their "waterless beauty" movement. While many skin care products feature water as a primary ingredient (sometimes up to 70% of the product is water), Oliveda replaces the water in their formulations with an elixir containing Hydroxytyrosol, which can only be sourced from the olive tree. When used in skincare, Hydroxytyrosol has anti-oxidant + anti-inflammatory properties. When taken internally, it may help counter the effects of neurodegeneration, cancers, inflammation, + infection.
What they offer: Oliveda offers both external (skin care) + internal (tonic) products that promote the health + beauty benefits of Hydroxytyrosol. Not only is Oliveda ground floor in the US, but they have experienced massive growth over the last few months. As a result, many of their products are out of stock (they are working hard to increase production). We just learned they will be launching a cosmetic line this fall!
What I've tried so far: My order was backordered so I've been trying things as they trickle in. I am now using 2-3 of their products morning + night - a serum, an elixir, an eye cream, + a moisturizer. I've also been. using their honey enzyme mask 1x per week.
First impressions:So far I love everything I've tried! They are light, super hydrating, smell clean + fresh, + a little goes a long way! My skin feels great. I tend to have chronic dry skin patches on my nose + these are improved.
Price point: Comparable to Beautycounter's
Clean factor: On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being Beautycounter's standard of clean) I would rate them as an 8.5,. I think they have room to grow as far as ingredient transparency, labeling, sustainability, + advocacy.
Current promotions: Get free shipping on orders of $50+; 25% off for brand advocates.
As I said in my previous newsletter... if Beautycounter returns + has a space for me, I will happily rejoin + share their products again. SO HERE I AM, SHARING BEAUTYCOUNTER. This return may be temporary but I have been + will remain committed to helping you find the best + safest products for your skin.
π THE. BEST. IS. YET. TO. COME. π
