In the CVUSD we have a right fit for every student. For families who would like to enroll their student in a CVUSD school other than their assigned neighborhood school, this may be completed via the online School Choice Application process. The priority deadline for the 2024-2025 School Choice Application has been extended one week to the new date of Wednesday, February 7th at 11:59pm.

Congratulations to team VitalSync from Westlake High School for earning first place, and team ReBinify from Thousand Oaks High School for earning second place in the annual Hackathon by the Sea, overnight coding competition hosted by the Ventura County Office of Education. The Hackathon encourages students to use technology in creative ways to solve problems and engage users. At the end of the event, student teams presented their creations to judges, who awarded prizes. More than 100 students from high schools throughout the county spent an entire night creating apps and websites. Click here to learn more about the competition and the award-winning apps developed by our two teams of students.
Congratulations to Ramon Moreno Jr., 12th grade scholar of The Center for Advanced Studies and Research at Thousand Oaks High School, who was selected as one of the top 40 finalists in this year’s Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. The finalists were chosen based on their projects’ scientific rigor and their potential to become world-changing scientists and leaders. Each finalist is awarded at least $25,000 with all finalists participating in a week-long competition in Washington, DC in March where the top 10 Regeneron Science Talent Search 2024 winners will be announced.
