Principal's Message
Dear PMS Families,
On the evening of Monday, December 4th, PCPS will be conducting a community-wide test of our new notification system. Our new website vendor, Apptegy, provides a messaging platform that will enable us to more effectively reach parents with time-sensitive information. Not only will we be able to reach you by phone, text, and email as we do currently, but we'll also be able to simultaneously broadcast to all our social media platforms, including our new Facebook and Instagram pages, but also directly to your phone if you have downloaded the PCPS website app.
Please be on the lookout for messaging beginning at 6pm on Monday the 4th. If you have questions, you may reach us using alerts-help@powhatan.k12.va.us.
Warm Regards,
Courtney Jarman (Swartz)

Dropping Students Off In The Morning
Please do not drop students off in the side teacher lot in the morning. It is a safety concern, and we appreciate you using the car line. Thank you!
Tabs!
The five schools are participating in an aluminum can tab competition to benefit the local Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond provides a "home away from home" for families traveling to the Richmond area while their children receive medical treatment in local hospitals. By collecting the pop tops from aluminum cans, you can help us continue to carry out our mission of keeping families close. The competition will run from October 23 to December 11, 2023, and students can turn the tabs in to their 1st block teacher. The first block that collects the most tab weight, will win a prize. PMS Student Leadership will be helping with the collection for this worthy cause!
Health and PE Rotation
Week of December 4th:
- Ms. Acampora, Mr. Fields, and Mr. Jackson will be in PE.
- Ms. Henderson, Mr. Miles, Ms. Lazaro, and Mr. Allanson will be in health.
