Fundraising Update & PAC Initiatives
Fundraising Update: Since the start of the school year, PAC has been diligent in our fundraising efforts and we are happy to share that we have raised $6,053 of our $15,000 goal. These funds are used to support student and staff initiatives. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
New Student Clubs & Activities: In order for a new club or initiative to receive PAC funding, Staff members must submit a Grant Application to PAC and present the proposal at one of the monthly meetings. During the October meeting, Mr. McGovern shared that two staff members are interested in starting a Craft Club. While a formal application has not yet been submitted, PAC is excited to provide funding and has conditionally approved funding for this new student club.
Current Initiatives: PAC is currently collaborating with administration to determine the feasibility of the following initiatives. While we hope to make each of these a reality, we cannot guarantee that will be the case. Support for these initiatives is largely contingent on funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals. If you have an interested in assisting with one or more of these initiatives, please email qms.pac@gmail.com or join us at the November 16th meeting and we will put you to work!
- Winter Dance / Semi Formal - Dances have not been held since well before the pandemic. We hope to bring at least one to our students this year. However, this will not be possible without the parent/guardian chaperones from all grades.
- Staff/Teacher Lounge & Workspace Updates - The teachers lounge and workspaces are in need of updates and new furniture. Similar to the improvements MESA made to the JJ and Robinson staff lounges, we hope to update this space and provide additional amenities to our staff.
- 8th Grade End of Year Celebration and/or Field Trip Options - Historically, rather than take a local field trip, the 8th grade has held a larger end of year celebration in the form of a luau, which includes a DJ and pizza. However, Administration has received feedback that students and families would like to enhance this experience. As a result, we're working with Administration on alternatives.

UNFUNDRAISER
Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we!
In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!
Your donations will enable us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for enrichment, technology, flexible seating, speaker events and so much more. Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year. This will put us in a terrific position to support all of our ongoing student activities and provide an opportunity to see what new initiatives we can help with.
_____ $25 - I don’t want to buy chocolate bars, please take this donation instead.
_____ $50 - I don’t want to sell coupon books so here’s a better alternative.
_____ $100 or $_______ Here’s a donation to show my appreciation for not having to buy, sell, or do anything else for fundraising this year.
Payments can be made via PayPal at QMS UnFundraiser Donation, Venmo @QMS-PAC, or send a check payable to "QMS PAC" to QMS PAC, 240 East Street, Mansfield, MA 02048. Remember, donations are tax deductible.
