Note from the Principal

Good morning!


Saturday marked one year since St. Mary of the Assumption pivoted from full on-campus learning to virtual instruction with less than two days notice. Our teachers, students, and families have showed ingenuity, flexibility, positivity, and love for each other over the past year in ways that we previously could not have imagined. We are so grateful for this community as we remain socially distant but together in faith.


Our Phase II reopening plan is almost ready for distribution. Please note that we have changed March 29th-31st to asynchronous learning days for K-8 to enable teachers to set up their classrooms and participate in professional development. We are very excited to welcome some of our students back to campus soon!


Below you will find a flier for the HSA virtual Bingo, this time for the grown ups! Tickets are on sale until Wednesday, so make sure you buy soon.

Book Pick-Up/Drop-Off

Our next Book and Supply Pick-Up/Drop-Off will be this week on March 18th (5-6 PM) and 19th (11AM-12 PM).

Scholastic Book Fair (March 16th-19th)

The Scholastic Book Fair has returned! Students and parents will have the opportunity to shop virtually from their homes. The book fair will also be available for socially-distant in-person shopping in the parking lot during book pick up (weather permitting). Stay tuned for more details!

HSA Bingo Night- This Time for the Grown-Ups!

The HSA will be hosting a Bingo Night for adults 21+ on March 20th. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/adult-bingo-night-tickets-141221412045.

BOOST Scholarship Now Accepting Applications

BOOST is a State Maryland Program that provides scholarships to eligible students in Grades K-8 to attend a nonpublic school. BOOST scholarships are available to public school students and current nonpublic school students whose family income is:


$30,044 or less for a family of 2

$37,777 or less for a family of 3,

$45,510 or less for a family of 4

$53,243 or less for a family of 5.


The deadline for the 2021 - 2022 school year is April 30, 2021.
