Reynolds Elementary School

As you know, the Board of Education and the Superintendent, Dr. Vitale have informed us the elementary schools will re-open on November 9th! Students will be back on campus and in their classroom learning on Monday, November 9th for group A or on Thursday, November 12th for group B. We are putting the final pieces in place as we transform Reynolds into a place that is safe for students and staff! More information will be shared at the parent meetings set for Monday, October 19th. We will also let you know next week if your student is in Group A or Group B. Please join us at the meeting on Monday! The office will be sending you a Zoom invite.

We have been distributing meals for about 70 people each day!

You will see Miss Stephanie and Miss Jessie outside of the cafeteria on Tuesdays and Thursdays for meal pick up. The hours are 12pm to 1:30pm. Here is what you get:

Tuesday: Two days of food, including breakfast, lunch, snacks and supper meal that is a hot, fresh entree

Thursday: Three days of food including breakfast, lunch, snacks and a frozen supper meal.

There is no cost and the meals are for family members ages 0-18.

So, what is LCFF again? The Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), this is the state's school funding system and directs more funds to districts with the most high-need students and gives local districts more flexibility on how to spend the money they receive.

Ms. Rodriguez aka Ms. Dre, our school counselor, will be provides monthly social emotional lessons to all K-5 students! In the month of September, students are learned about emotions and the Zones of Regulation. Families can review our Counselor’s Corner Newsletter every month for more information and fun activities that encourage social emotional learning at home.

Our school counselor is available to support students and families with any issue as they arise. If you are interested in getting additional support for your student, you can schedule a Check-in with Ms. Dre or visit Ms. Dre’s School Counselor Website.

There are just a few bags left and we ask you to come on over between the hours of 8am to 3pm. Students will need the next units of GoMath and Benchmark!
