APRIL SEPAC MEETING!
Monday, April 25 at 6:30pm at Nipmuc, and virtually via Zoom here
In addition to regular SEPAC business, at our April meeting we’re hosting special guest speaker Bonnie J. Delongchamp (LSW, C.A.S., MMFT) Executive Director of The Whole Child in Upton. The Whole Child’s mission is to support the healthy (physical, social, behavioral and cognitive) development of children and empower their families through education, coaching, opportunity and consultation. Bonnie will discuss some of the services that The Whole Child provides to local families.
What is the MURSD SEPAC? The MURSD Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is a group of parents and guardians of children who are supported or who are seeking special education support in the Mendon-Upton school district. Our SEPAC not only provides a support network for other parents, but a forum for open communication about special education in our district, an opportunity for collaboration with district leadership, and more. To be added to the SEPAC email list, please reach out to mendonuptonsepac@gmail.com. More information here: Mendon-Upton SEPAC | Mendon-Upton Regional School District (mursd.org)

Back by popular demand...Student Council's famous Chuck-a-Duck Contest! Ducks are $2 each. The closest duck chucked near the target wins a HUGE gift basket!
*PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FOR PICK-UP DIRECTIONS. Parents who wish to pick up their child early may do so by signing them out at the admissions table. No students will be allowed to leave earlier than 8:30 without being signed out by a parent and a Miscoe Hill staff member. At 8:30, all remaining students will be monitored for parent pick-up in the front of the building. Students will be waiting near the gym. Please drive up to these doors to pick up your child (the 2nd set of doors in the front.) *We ask that you pick up your child promptly at the end of the event.

Amazon 2023
Amazon 2023 is currently open for enrollment to current 6th and 7th graders. ***NEW*** With permission from Miss Holloway, current 8th graders may also register for this trip! I know many families have been nervous about traveling due to covid which is why I am extending this rare opportunity. I believe we are already in a much better place health and safety wise and I expect things should be even better (if not normal!) by next year. If you missed out on this year's trip due to covid you have one last chance to sign up and experience the adventure of a lifetime!
Miss Holloway will host an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 16th at 7 PM via Zoom if you would like to learn more. I will have pictures to share of our most recent adventure, feedback from parents and students that have traveled with us, and all of the information for our next Amazon Adventure! Sign up by March 23rd at explorica.com/Holloway-7078 and use code TRAVEL0Y to lock in the current price! Please email lholloway@mursd.org with any questions.
Peru 2023
Peru Trip
April 2023
Dear 8th grade students and parents,
My name is Ms. Reardon and I am a World Language teacher at Nipmuc. I have run many trips over the last 14 years at Nipmuc to Italy, Spain, Paris, and the Galapagos Islands. Next year I am offering a trip to Peru during April vacation. Since you will be at Nipmuc next year, you are eligible to travel if you would like to.
The trip will explore the capital city of Lima, Cuzco and the ancient Incan city of Machu Picchu. A detailed itinerary is included with this letter. The price and what is included is also attached.
There is a $100 discount available for students who enroll before Friday, April 29, 2022. Please remember to enter the code Travel4I to get that discount. If you sign up by the deadline and the discount doesn’t work, please reach out to me.
There will be an informational meeting for anybody interested on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The meeting will be held in the Nipmuc Auditorium. I hope you are able to join us.
If you have any questions about the trip or signing up, please email me @ kreardon@mursd.org
Thank you,
Ms. Reardon
