FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Superintendent's to Legislature
On June 1, 2023, a press conference was hosted by Children's First where Superintendents of school districts across Bucks County, students, and local advocates gathered in front of William Tennent High School to call on lawmakers to fulfill their constitutional obligation and invest some of this year’s $12 billion surplus in education.
Among the speakers were Dr. Dana T. Bedden, Superintendent of Centennial School District; Mr. Jamar Mitchell, Senior from William Tennent High School; Ms. Emma Torok, Senior from William Tennent High School; Dr. Charles Lentz, Superintendent of New Hope-Solebury School District, Dr. Sam Lee, Superintendent of Bensalem School District, Donna Cooper, Executive Director of Children First, Karen Downer, President of the NAACP Bucks County, Rabbi Anna Boswell-Levy from Congregation Kol Emet/POWER Bucks, and Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Munroe.
Breakfast with the Supt. at Ann's Choice
Ann's Choice Senior Living Community played host to a Centennial School District event titled "Breakfast with the Supt" on May 31, 2023. The event provided a unique opportunity for residents to gather and gain valuable insights into the current happenings and future plans of the Centennial School District (CSD). Led by Superintendent Dr. Dana T. Bedden and the CSD cabinet team, the discussion covered a range of important topics, including budget planning, English Language Development, Curriculum, Multi-tiered System Supports for students, and Special Needs Programs.
With an engaged audience of seniors and many former educators, the event received an overwhelming response, indicating the community's deep interest and commitment to education within the district. Attendees actively participated in the informative session, staying until the end, asking pertinent questions, and engaging in discussions with district administrators.

It was a busy week at Log College. On Tuesday, Log College Middle School (LCMS) students united with their fellow middle schoolers from Klinger Middle School to enjoy the 2nd annual Panther Games held at William Tennent High School.
On Wednesday, LCMS’s 6th and 7th grade students participated in their annual field day for the ages, ending with a tug-of-war to break a legitimate tie (the first time we’ve ever had this happen). Meanwhile, the 8th-grade students enjoyed the wonderful weather at Dorney Park.
