Educators call for fair funding for Pennsylvania schools amid state budget negotiations

Educators in Bucks County demanded full and fair funding of public education across the state in the wake of a judge's ruling that called the Commonwealth's funding formula 'unconstitutional.' Educators, community members, religious leaders and some students gathered outside William Tennent High School in Bucks County's Centennial School District on Thusday to tout their message of fair and full funding for state schools.

Breakfast with the Supt. at Ann's Choice

Ann's Choice Senior Living Community played host to a Centennial School District event titled "Breakfast with the Supt" on May 31, 2023. The event provided a unique opportunity for residents to gather and gain valuable insights into the current happenings and future plans of the Centennial School District (CSD). Led by Superintendent Dr. Dana T. Bedden and the CSD cabinet team, the discussion covered a range of important topics, including budget planning, English Language Development, Curriculum, Multi-tiered System Supports for students, and Special Needs Programs.

Attendees actively participated in the informative session, staying until the end, asking pertinent questions, and engaging in discussions with district administrators.

CENTENNIAL HIGHLIGHTS CENTENNIAL HIGHLIGHTS

WTHS Marching Band Remembers Our Heroes

On Memorial Day, the William Tennent Marching Band participated in parades and memorial services in Ivyland, Warminster, and Upper Southampton, honoring U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. We are proud of our students who chose a day on instead of a day off to share their talents with the Centennial community. Special thanks to Samantha McMaster, the student section leaders, and the parents and guardians from the WTMBA boosters who assisted with bringing this tradition to fruition, despite some challenges. Also, thanks to Michael Morrone for playing Taps at two events. As always, the Centennial community joins together in supporting our students and the larger community for important traditions. We are proud of and humbled by our band members’ dedication and commitment!

Log College Has High Energy

It was a busy week at Log College. On Tuesday, Log College Middle School (LCMS) students united with their fellow middle schoolers from Klinger Middle School to enjoy the 2nd annual Panther Games held at William Tennent High School.

On Wednesday, LCMS’s 6th and 7th grade students participated in their annual field day for the ages, ending with a tug-of-war to break a legitimate tie (the first time we’ve ever had this happen). Meanwhile, the 8th-grade students enjoyed the wonderful weather at Dorney Park.
