Festival of Indonesian Cultures

Join us for this 3 day event!

The weekend of the 2022 Festival of Indonesian Cultures has arrived! In partnership with the Crow Museum of Asian Art at UTD, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI), and the Indonesian Community Association DFW, the festival will take place at both the Crow Museum and the UTD Campus over the span of three days. Check out the variety of events that will be happening and learn about the fourth-most populous country in the world!

**All events (except Batik Workshop) are free and open to the public

Day 1

Friday, September 16 from 7:00 - 9:30 PM

Davidson Auditorium (JSOM 1.118) in the Naveen Jindal School of Management (MAP for exact location)

An international seminar will discuss the recent developments of Indonesia, updates on Indonesian policies, and the potential collaboration for research partnership between the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and UTD. A reception will also be held beforehand at 6:00 PM in the JSOM Atrium. Light refreshments will be provided.

Day 2

Saturday, September 17 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Crow Museum of Asian Art of UTD (MAP)

Debbie Margaretha, a Batik collector and designer with 30+ years in the Batik Design Industry, will be sharing her collection and expertise in the following events:

Batik Exhibition (open to public all day)

Day 3

Sunday, September 18 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM

SSA Auditorium (SSA 13.330) in the Student Services Building Addition (MAP for exact location)

To conclude the festival, local Dallas performers and members of the KJRI will present a showcase of traditional Indonesian music and dance as well as a demonstration of Indonesian martial arts:

Parking Information

While visitors are allowed to park on any green spaces on campus during weekends, you may also download a complimentary parking permit using the buttons below for more convenient parking!

Please print out the parking permit for the event you need and place on your vehicle's dashboard near the steering wheel. These permits will allow visitors to park in any orange, gold/yellow, and green spaces.
