Principals Update Week 7

Greetings Bell HS Family,
I hope this message finds you and your family in great health and sound in mind. We have just completed our 7th week of online teaching and learning! As we continue on our New Frontier, the beginning of our 8th week of school is upon us. As we continue to make academic progress, I want to remind everyone, one week from now we will reach the mid-point of the first semester, with that said, now is the time to reach out to our teachers during their Office Hours on how to improve class grades. During the 10th week of school we will embark on our Fall Parent Conferences to meet with parents on their sons and/or daughters academic progress. As a reminder Parent-Teacher conferences help families builds strong communication with their children’s teacher. During these conferences, parents and guardians review student goals, discuss academic progress and plan for success. We value your input and believe it is important that we work as a team to support your child’s learning. THANK YOU for all you do day in and day out!

Parent-Teacher Conferences? We Got Conferences!
For our upcoming Teacher-Parent Conferences, we will be requiring students with 3 or more D’s and F’s to attend parent conferences. Our teachers will be reaching out to you and schedule a date and time. Our office will also be calling parents to confirm your attendance. Conferences have been scheduled after school from 3:00 pm to 5:00pm, starting the week of October 12, each department will have a designated day for parent conferences:
- Monday October 12: Math and ROP
- Tuesday October 13: English and VPA
- Wednesday October 14: Science and World Languages
- Thursday October 15: Social Studies and PE

How are we doing in feeding our community? We Feed Our Learning Community!
I am pleased to announce, our Grab & Go continues to help our school community everyday from Monday to Friday from 7 to 10 am! Further, on Tuesday, October 13th we will have our next LA Food Bank distribution from 7-10 am, please drive up on Pine Ave. and NO ID is required. This could not be possible with out the help from, Bell HS Cafeteria LA, Beyond the Bell, City of Bell Recreation Center, and the LA Food Bank. Our motto will continue be “No Family Will GO Hungry”.
