Greetings, Eames Way Families!

Welcome to our FIRST weekly newsletter of the 2023-2024 school year!

It has been a wonderful and productive summer at Eames Way as we prepare for the return of our students and staff. As your new principal, I am especially excited to start this school year and begin building connections with all of our EWS students and families!

The welcome I have received to Marshfield and to our incredible school community has been heartwarming, inspiring, and energizing -- I am honored and absolutely thrilled to begin this school year with you and your children and am excited about the great work we will do together.

I look forward to seeing many (and hopefully ALL) of you on Monday, August 14th from 4:00-6:00 PM for my event "Popsicles with the Principal" on the Eames Way playground! (See invitation below) If we don't get to meet next Monday, enjoy the rest of the summer and we will see you on the first day of school!

The Portal for elementary families will open on Monday, August 21st at which time your child’s new teacher will be noted!

New families should have received their login information via email from our Aspen team. Please check your email for your credentials. All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions accessing the parent portal.

**Extremely Important: Please complete the Student Workflow and Parent Workflow before the start of the school year as this is how we reach you in an emergency.**

We are excited to share that Eames Way School will be adopting the PickUp Patrol (PUP) App this school year! PickUp Patrol allows families to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone.

Kindergarten Playdate

The EWS PTO would like to invite you and your kindergartner to a playdate on Friday, August 25 on the EWS playground. If there is inclement weather, the playdate will be hosted in the EWS gymnasium. We look forward to seeing you there!

Kindergarten Orientation

Kindergarten orientation is Tuesday, August 30 by appointment. At the orientation, you and your child will have an opportunity to meet their kindergarten teacher, begin to make new friends, and even practice riding a school bus!

All kindergarten families will be receiving an email with your child's scheduled orientation time next Tuesday, August 15th. Please call the school if you did not receive an email so that we can ensure arrangements have been made.

Every three years our parent/guardian CORI forms need to be updated in order to volunteer at school events. This year marks the beginning of a three year term, so every parent/guardian that would like to volunteer needs to complete a new form this year.

Please click here for the form and submit by bringing this to the front office with your license. You do have the option to have the form notarized and sent in with a copy of your license if you cannot come to the school.
