To help make the Bear Den a more student-friendly space, we partnered with
Sources of Strength is a new student leadership class at BHS that works to foster
hope, help, and strength and promote mental health awareness in our school. A
team of students worked to gather data on the current usage of the Bear Den,

renovate the current space as well as come up with ideas for a second space.
We measured the usage/access by comparing the number of check-ins to the

a 33% increase in the use of the Bear Den during this school year.
