- October 20 & 21 - No School - Education Minnesota (Teacher's Convention)
- October 24 - Grandparents Day at Windom Elementary for Grades K-4 - 2:00-3:00
- October 26: Elementary McTeacher Night 4-7pm (a portion of the proceeds goes to the Elementary Eagle Pride Program to purchase indoor recess games)
- October 27 - Corey Greenwood Speaks to the Community about Anti-Bullying 6:00-7:30 in the Blue Gym
- October 28 - Trunk or Treat Sponsored by the Elementary PTO - 5:00-6:30pm
- November 7- E-Learning Day (students work from home)
- November 8 - Election Day
- November 11 - Veteran's Day Program at 9:30 in the Blue Gym
- November 17, 18, &19 Fall Musical at 7:00pm in the Lecture Hall
- November 19 - Fall Musical at 2:00pm in the Lecture Hall
- November 22 - Baker's Square Pie Pickup
Pies for Thanksgiving
The Elementary PTO and Middle School Advisory are hosting a Baker's Square Pie Fundraiser again this year. Orders will be taken through October 31.

Pie Pickup will be November 22 at the CTE Center at the Middle High School.
Trunk or Treat
If your business or family would like to participate in the Elementary PTO Trunk or Treat Event on October 28, please reserve a space by completing this form. This will take place in the parking lot between the Elementary and Middle High School on October 28 from 5:00-6:30. The students enjoyed this event tremendously in the past and look forward to Trunk or Treat again this year!
Veteran's Day - November 11
AVID Aviator - Celebrations of Teachers Providing Engaging Lessons
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a program that Windom Schools uses K-12 to provide engaging lessons to students. This month we will showcase the following teachers who have used AVID Strategies successfully to inspire students to learn and grow.
Mrs. Harwood is an Ag Teacher at the Middle High School. Thanks to Mrs. Harwood for creating engaging, active lessons for Windom Eagles!
Mrs. Rabbe is a 4th Grade Teacher at Windom Elementary! Thanks to Mrs. Rabbe for making learning meaningful and fun for students!
Mrs. Lund is a 3rd Grate Teacher at Windom Elementary! Thanks for hosting opportunities for students to engage in the content and learn from each other!
Mrs. Engen is the Business Teacher at the Middle High School. Thanks for helping students learn through taking notes and listening to other's perspectives.
National Principals Month
October is National Principal's Month. Let's celebrate this amazing team of principals this month. Dane Nielsen, Tyson Walker, Bryan Joyce, and Misty Riebel stay focused on the best interest of students every day! Please send an email to let them know how much you appreciate their leadership!

Transportation to Away Games- Calling all Parents!
Do you enjoy watching youth sports and activities? Is your child in a sport at Windom Schools? Would you consider getting a bus license to take a team to an away game?
Palmer Bus Pays $16.25 an hour from the time you pick up the bus to the time it is returned. Drivers get paid even as the team plays!
Steps to getting a bus driving license:
- Complete a Video Training Series
- Take the written test to obtain a permit (Palmer helps with this)
- Pass Background Check and Drug Test
- Complete a Health Physical paid by Palmer
- Train with Palmer for the Behind the Wheel Test
- Take and pass the Behind the Wheel Test
