Action Item: As you administer instructional interventions to your students, help them set goals for those short term wins that lead to long term gains. Be prepared to share what this looks like in your classroom on Thursday during your instructional planning time.

**Every Friday will be "Goal Accomplishment Friday." Students will be publicly recognized and receive incentives for accomplishing academic goals. Check your email for more details.

Activity: Stop and Think: When to Talk

Instructions:

1. Discuss with students that there are appropriate and inappropriate times to start conversations with others.
2. Access the corresponding activity sheet via the link below and discuss the situations with students.
3. After reading each situation, students will inform if it is appropriate to talk or not.

4. Have fun with the activity by making it a class competition (as appropriate to the grade level).
