Dear Parent(s),

As indicated in the email I sent home on May 5th the Provincial Government has mandated a two week at home learning for KG-Grade 12 students. In response to this, below is an attachment outlining our schedules for Elementary and Junior High students. This schedule has also been email too.

As you may of heard, I will be moving to École Pine Grove Middle School for the 2021-22 school year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for the support and acceptance as I returned home from over seas. The students and staff of Niton Central are very special and I have enjoyed working with them as their Principal. I will leave with truly some great memories.

This week, the grade 1-2 class paired up with the grade 5-6 class to play a game called ‘1-2 Guess Who?’

Each day from Tuesday - Friday, the grade 1 - 2 students wrote their 5-6 partner a clue about themselves, anonymously. By Friday afternoon, each 5-6 student had 4 clues about their anonymous partner.

On Friday afternoon, the 2 classes met via Google Meet and the grade 5-6 students guessed who their grade 1-2 secret partner was. It was great fun!

7/8's made videos of endothermic and exothermic reactions to teach to the 3/4's. The 3/4's will be able to watch the videos and replicate the experiments in this cross graded experiment.

Get a step up for high school! Below is information regarding Summer School for our grade 9's. CALM 20 is being offered at Parkland Composite and is a great opportunity for our students to complete a graduation requirement before they even step in the doors.

May 7th-24th - Learning at Home (KG-grade 9)

May 25th - Return to on-site learning
