Student Pickup & Dropoff
The high school main entrance will open at 6:50am. Please plan to drop off your child between this time and 7:20am to allow adequate time for them to go to their locker and report to their Period 1 class in a timely fashion. Traffic tends to back up so please plan accordingly and drive safely.
The Spotswood Police Department reminds everyone that the speed limit on campus is 15mph, and that Charger Way is a one way road during morning dropoff. To maximize the flow of traffic and for safety concerns, parents must pull up to the gymnasium prior to letting their child exit the vehicle. Parents must exit through Mott Street. After 7:30am, all doors will be secured and access to the building will be through the main entrance only.
Student Parking
Student Parking for Seniors: All student vehicles parked on campus must have a visible authorized parking permit. We have a limited number of parking spaces relative to the size of our student driving populations. Any senior who intends to drive to school at any point this school year must complete the Senior Class Parking Permit Application by Friday, September 15. For example, even if your child anticipates getting their license this November, they should still complete the application by September 15. For upcoming birthdays, please follow the directions on the form.
Parking passes will be issued and students will be assigned a specific numbered parking spot. Students must park in their assigned spot and have their tag displayed. Parking on campus is a privilege; Failure to park in their designated space, reckless driving, habitual tardies to school, and/or leaving campus without permission will result in termination of parking privileges.
Student Parking for Juniors: Once seniors have been issued parking passes, there may be a limited number of parking passes available for members of the junior class, to be determined by lottery. Any junior who intends to drive to school at any point this school year must complete the Junior Class Parking Permit Lottery Application by October 5. Students who are selected via the lottery will be informed by October 15. The same rules regarding parking tags, assigned spaces, and revocation of driving privileges apply.
Please note that all the google forms referenced above MUST be completed via the student's SPSD google account. Please refer to Ms. Jablonski's Parking Letter, sent to all Juniors & Seniors via Genesis for more detailed information.
