Each month of the 2023-24 school year, we will spotlight one of our strategic priorities or Portrait of a Graduate competencies by sharing the stories of two clusters—highlighting their classrooms, notable events, community insights, achievements, community service projects, student organizations, volunteer efforts, and more.

Equity

Focusing on equity in education means acting with intention and passion about the conditions under which each and every child receives what they need to develop to their full academic and social potential. GCPS is committed to providing access to ensure that all students have the knowledge and skills to succeed as contributing members of a global society, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, English proficiency, faith, socioeconomic status, or disability.

In December, we'll focus on Equity in the Norcross cluster and at our Special Entity schools.
