Message from the Principal
We are thankful for all of our students! They come to school ready and eager to learn. They listen to their teachers and do their best each and every day. We are very proud of the progress they are working towards.
We are thankful for our parents! Our wonderful parents make sure their child is at school and encourage him/her to learn as much as possible every day. Staying in communication with their child's teacher to ensure we are all working together to help students be successful.
We are thankful for our amazing staff! All of our teachers, assistants, and other staff members are dedicated to our students. They all go well out of their way to help our students no matter what their role is. The teachers spend many hours of their own time preparing for the lessons taught each week. They do it all for our children.
We are thankful for our school board and district administration! They all go the extra mile to make sure we are supported and have what we need to help our children be successful. They have been supportive and continue to support us as we work to continue our road to improvement.
Last, but not least, we are thankful for our community. Our community may be small, but our hearts are big! We appreciate the support we have received as we work on improving, growing, and supporting our students. Community support makes all the difference.
As you see, we have A LOT to be thankful for. The wonderful part about all of the things we are thankful for is how it all directly impacts the success of our students. With that kind of teamwork, we will continue on the path of a great school year. It takes all of us to make an impact. Your encouragement, hard work, and dedication are appreciated!
Sincerely,
Lundy Atkins

Capturing Kids' Hearts ~ Teamwork
What is Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
Why focus on Teamwork?
- Teamwork improves communication: Teamwork helps us improve our verbal and non-verbal communication skills, conveying that we care and a relevant message.
- Teamwork builds interpersonal awareness: Growing a great team requires us to first build strong relationships through better understanding ourselves and others.
- Teamwork celebrates diversity. Teamwork thrives from diverse ideas that come from a mixture of different genders, cultures, expertise, experience, and problem-solving approaches.
