Dear Parents and Students of the class of 2020:

It took us 8 hours, but the Senior Signs have been delivered, along with Eighth grade letters to self and Sophomore Bucket Lists, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed delivering them to you! Thank you to all of those who greeted us at your homes, waved and smiled. We miss you all so much and we hope you continue to do your part to finish out this year strong! Keep your eyes on the prize, that diploma is worth the effort and Buchanan High School is here to support you through it all.

We are still planning a #DecisionDay celebration for the Class of 2020. As part of that, Mrs. Barlow has created a Google classroom (code ljunh3l) with one assignment. The first and last letters are lowercase L not a number 1.Please email Mrs. Barlow directly if you have not received the email sharing the class code. The slide is due May 7th. Also, many of you have not completed the survey sent by Mrs. Barlow. Please contact her directly if you didn't complete it or are not sure. This is information we need for end of year reporting. The survey can be accessed here.

Additional yard signs for #DecisionDay will be available to seniors late next week.

On Friday, May 15th, Facebook and Instagram will proudly present a once-in-a-lifetime event to honor the incredible Class of 2020 and they want you to be a part of it!

This multi-hour streaming event will feature a commencement address by Oprah Winfrey, along with words of wisdom for the class of 2020 from Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, Lil Nas X, Simone Biles, and many more, as well as a special musical performance from Miley Cyrus of her hit song, “The Climb.”

If you are still interested in helping out other parents plan and prepare a Senior Dinner, I would be happy to add you to the list. We are encouraging parents to step in and plan this event for Seniors to share a meal together one more time as a group. The school will be more than happy and willing to help invite all seniors and spread the word.
