Classroom App Power User
Mrs. Esther Lee, a fourth-grade teacher at Beatty Elementary, regularly uses Classroom app; and this is what she says about Classroom app:
"Apple Classroom has its limitations like most other apps, but it has a lot to offer. For example, Classroom app has given me the ability to see my students' work all on one screen. If I choose to project an individual student's work, I am able to do so without having the student to mirror it. Also, it helps me monitor my students, especially when they are doing independent work such as research. If any student is off task or using iPad when he/she is not supposed to be, Apple Classroom has a lock option where I am able to lock the individual's iPad or the entire class's. Most importantly, it has provided me a means of receiving my students' assignments, notes, pictures, and projects (similar to Airdrop). As I mentioned, it has its limitation but overall, it has been a great tool to have."
Thank you, Mrs. Lee, for sharing your experience with Classroom app!

Preparing for the CAASPP testing season
It is testing time at BPSD! Our teachers have done a wonderful job in preparing their students and classrooms to effectively navigate CAASPP testing. This year, we introduced assessment literacy as part of our professional learning opportunities. Topics included: hand-scoring, assessment vocabulary, testing procedures and more. Ed Tech TOSAs have coached elementary students on how to use the tools on the test. CAASPP leaders at each site reviewed how to administer the test. Working together helps everyone get through the testing season successfully. Click here to see tips and tools to help you traverse the testing season!
