Our LPS Wolfpack is having a great school year! We loved having so many of our families join us for our Open House! We had 777 people which was a great turn out for our first family event of the school year. If you have a PreK or K student, I encourage you to join us for our workshop on September 13 at 8:15 to learn more about attendance and early literacy.

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us, and for partnering with us to build a strong educational foundation for them. We are looking forward to another GREAT month at Liberty Primary School! If we can support your family in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

This year, Liberty area schools will be working together and sponsoring All-Pro Dads. This will give fathers in the area an opportunity to bond with their child/children. A light breakfast is also provided for everyone free of charge!

Below, you will find the tentative dates for All-Pro Dads events. Our first All-Pro Dads event is coming up on Tuesday, September 12th from 6:45 AM to 7:30 AM.

Baseball Legend Tim Drew

Tim Drew is a former Major League Baseball player. Drafted in the first round of the 1997 draft. Drew went on to play for three years as a MLB pitcher. Currently, he is opening a Physical Therapist practice in Anderson, SC.

Our Discovery Den opened its doors for business a couple of weeks ago! At Liberty Primary, we value learning through play and know that the benefits of play are endless- language and vocabulary development, thinking and problem solving, creativity, career connection, collaboration and teamwork- all those “soft skills” that students need to have in order to be College and Career Ready and become successful citizens of our community. (Did you know? Our Discovery Den is part of a greater Liberty Area Schools initiative to expose students to careers at an early age and prepare them for career opportunities that they will have in elementary, middle, and high school!) Discovery Den is our students’ favorite part of the week… check out all the learning and problem solving that takes place in the Den, and find out more about play at LPS at the link below!

We have an amazing staff at LPS! Do you know a LPS teacher or staff member that has really helped you, your student, or your family? Has a teacher been highly effective or motivating? Or maybe a staff member just went above and beyond and you want to give them a special shout out!

Our staff takes great pride in helping students and families achieve their highest potential. Take a few minutes and let our staff know how much you appreciate their work! We will share these notes with the staff and one staff member will be selected each month for special recognition!

If you have a child age 0-3 at home, please join us each month for Toddler Rock N' Read in our Media Center. This is a free family event where you and your child will participate in fun activities and receive a book to take home. We hope you will join us!

Please note that Liberty Primary starts school at 7:50 with doors opening to welcome students at 7:20. Students are considered tardy after 7:50. We will dismiss at 2:20 each day.
