PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Welcome back to routines! I hope everyone had the opportunity to rest, relax, visit a few friends/family, and/or to take a break from some of the daily tasks required to make it through a regular week. It was nice to see all of the smiling faces back at school.
A few reminders:
Fridays are spirit Fridays and the calendar of themes are listed on our website and are posted in the News on our website the Sunday before. It was fun to see the kids in their decade outfits today. Those dressed with an 80-s’ theme did make me feel a bit old (ha ha)!
We do not have the capacity to provide supervision to students prior to 8:15am(9:15am on Wed). This means that students do not enter the building until that time. If your child is a walker, check with them to see what time they are arriving at school. As we have seen today, the cold temperatures are here.
If you do drop off/pick up, thank you for your patience. I know the line can sometimes move slowly. It is helpful if your child can quickly get out in the morning and quickly get settled in the afternoons. This helps the line move more efficiently and keeps the kids in the afternoon from hanging in the cold. I know it is inconvenient, but it is important to not block the crosswalk between the school parking lot and High Street. We want to make sure our kids can cross safely.
