New Student Updates

WELCOME TO WYWLA!

Welcome to Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy. We are looking forward to your arrival next year. Here is some important information that will help you prepare for the upcoming school year. We will send more information in July. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have questions.

NEW STUDENT CAMP--SAVE THE DATE!

All new students are invited to join us for welcome camp on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. We will send or post registration information in June. Please email Katie di Carlo, Dean of Students, at kdicarlo@wcpss.net with any questions!

Why should you attend?

New and existing WYWLA families will be able to purchase uniform items in “like new” or “gently used” condition from existing WYWLA families and the PTSA.
WYWLA PTSA will be on hand taking orders for PE uniforms and Spirit Wear.
Uniform vendors will be onsite to sell or place orders for new uniform items.

SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY

WYWLA Students are required to wear uniforms to school each day. All new families should visit our website to review school uniform requirements. We have two vendors who are approved to provide uniform options for our students. We also allow parents to purchase select items from retail stores. Please review all policies to make sure your daughter will be dressed properly on the first day of school.

We are currently reviewing our PE uniform requirements. PE items will be available on June 2nd. All students enrolled in PE will be required to purchase the required t-shirt and approved bottoms. Stay tuned for more information regarding PE attire.

Visit our website to review our 2017 - 2018 School Uniform Policy. We don't anticipate and significant changes for 2018 - 2019.

Many of our uniform items must be purchased from a uniform vendor. The information for our approved uniform vendors is listed below. Both vendors should stock our required items. Each vendor has been given a copy of uniform requirements and will not stock items that do not meet our guidelines.
