Congratulations to our Februrary Students of the Month!
Please see below for what teachers had to say about our winners:
7th Grade: Leah O'Brien
- Leah O'Brien is the 7th grade student of the month for February. This year Leah has been an active participant in the classroom, as well as outside the classroom in both volleyball and basketball. She asks great questions if she needs clarification, sets a good example for others, and strives to do her best every day. Congratulations to Leah for earning the February Student of the Month recognition award. You should be proud of yourself.
8th Grade: Jack Searing
- Jack has been chosen as February Student of the Month. He has shown growth both socially and academically. When interacting with staff and peers, Jack is very respectful and helpful. He has performed roles in group work that he may have been hesitant to do in the past. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this young man.
9th Grade: Carmello Randle
- Carmello has really started to break out of his shell this semester. Recently, he has started writing riddles on the board before class starts for the students to solve and they have to go to him with the answers and they have all really been enjoying it. He is a very responsible individual and is respectful to both teachers/staff and his peers. He has been participating more in his classes and letting his voice be heard, which is nice to see.
10th Grade: Drake Hammonds
- Drake Hammonds is a diligent and hard working student. He can be trusted to get straight to work and does quality work. He is polite to teachers and works well with his peers.
11th Grade: Austin Hochstein
- The February student of the month, Austin Hochstein, excels academically in the classroom and sets a positive example for other students. In addition, Austin helps make AFC a more welcoming and friendly place for all students as an active member of the school’s kindness club and co-leader of the academic bowl team. Keep up the great work, Austin!
12th Grade: Tatum Stroh
- February's Senior Student of the Month is hardworking, kind to everyone she meets, and is willing to help others anyway she can. On and off the basketball court, she is a leader and a role model to others. Congratulations to Tatum Stroh.
