Happy Friday! Today we wrapped up our 15th day of school. We discussed today during Charge Up how far we have come in a very short period of time becoming familiar with the school day and routines. We were thankful for the long weekend, but short weeks of school can be difficult because it throws everyone's schedule off. Looking forward, we are ready to have 5 or 6 weeks of a more normal period with little interruptions to the schedule.
This coming Monday, September 11 we are scheduled to have our first PTO meeting for the school year. The meeting will begin around 9:00 in our cafeteria or shortly after we get the day started. We hope you can make the meeting, but we will be sure to post the meeting minutes in future newsletters.
I wanted to remind you that Fall Picture Day is going to take place on the 19th and 20th of September. Both of our camera locations will be on the stage. Here is the schedule for both dates and when the grade-level classes will be scheduled:
Tuesday, September 19th - Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-Grade
Wednesday, September 20st - 3rd, 4th, and 5th-Grade
Yesterday and today, a group of OC students came to read the book The Day the Crayons Quit as one of the rewards from our recent fundraiser. We have some pictures below from both events, which took place in the cafeteria. We wanted to thank those students for their continued support of our school at various times over the years.
It appears we are going to experience some cooler, fall-like temperatures next week, which will be a nice change hot weather we've experienced recently. Thank you again for all your support and have a wonderful weekend!

High School Sporting Event Regulations - Please read through this flyer for those who are going to attend a high school football game. Any elementary students will need to be in the stands and with an adult.

Red Dirt Run - This event will take place on September 23. There will be no entry fee for the first 250 elementary-aged students.
