For the past several years, the Course Selection Guide (formerly known as the Program of Study) document has been the main source of updated, annual information about available secondary courses.

- Complete the Strengths Explorer located in About Me → My Assessments → Strengths Explorer. Strengths Explorer is a strengths assessment that assesses 10 talent themes for individuals and identifies each student’s three strongest emerging talents. Upon completion, students will be provided with explanations of their top three themes and will learn how to capitalize on their success and discover what they need to do next to continue building on their strengths.
- Complete the Learning Styles Inventory located in About Me → My Assessments → Learning Styles Inventory. The Learning Styles Inventory assessment allows students to boost academic potential by recognizing their natural learning style, discover better learning strategies, and gain career development skills. The assessment provides students with a report that can be used to increase understanding of the student’s needs at school.

Community Service Ambassador Program
ATTENTION CLASS OF 2020: The final deadline to submit service hours for 2019-20 was March 31, 2020.
CSAP is coordinated on behalf of CHHS by the Volunteer Community Service Ambassador Committee with support from the CHHS Counseling Office. The program is designed to encourage all 9th-12th grade CHHS students to serve their community by performing at least 100 hours of approved community service. Students meeting this requirement will be recognized as Community Service Ambassadors upon graduation, and will be eligible to purchase a special cord for their graduation robes.
NOTE: The program guidelines have recently changed. The full program guidelines for Community Service Ambassador Program, and service hour logs can be found on the CSAP Website. Highlighted below are the new program changes which are effective immediately:
- After 75 hours of service, Ambassadors are able to purchase a Letter Jacket and/or patch. Purchase is at the student’s discretion and may be made through Balfour.
- After 100 hours of service, the program is COMPLETE and an Ambassador earns their cord for graduation. Information about purchasing a cord for graduation will be sent to all students during their senior year.
- Students who have completed 100 hours in the program will no longer need to submit service hour reporting forms, but are strongly encouraged to maintain a personal record of all volunteer hours as this information may be needed for college and scholarship applications.
- Only 10 hours will be counted for any CHHS club, CHHS Booster Club, Sport, PTSA event, CHHS class or CHHS teacher each year. This includes activities which may or may not be held on campus, such as off campus fundraising. This is not an exhaustive list – any activity or fundraising done for any CHHS group is under the 10-hour cap.
- No CSAP senior scholarships will be awarded beginning this school year (2019-2020).
