Monday, September 23: Military Monday- Wear Anything Camouflage, Patriotic (red, white, & blue), or Military Branch shirts.

Tuesday, September 24: Dream Big - Dress in your Pajamas.

Wednesday, September 25: Your Future Is Bright- Wear Neon or Bright Colors.

Thursday, September 26: College Day - Wear your Favorite College Gear.

Friday, September 27: Your Path to College Starts Here: Wear Warren or Highland Trojan gear to show your school spirit.

Great Job to Vienna! She has earned the 2nd banana for her monkey. She has read 200 books.

We are testing students this week on several concepts that will be included on the report card. We like to see the progress of the students during the middle of the grading period and to share it with you. This help us decide what we need to do in the classroom to help your child grow academically and also to share what you can practice at home. Please be on the look over the next week to see these papers in their green folder. We will retest students if needed during the week of October 7th for the report card. We were very excited to see some of our students master letter recognition and 1st quarter kindergarten words!

Reading: Letter/Sound Oo & Dd

Story: Arnold's Apple Tree (Fiction)

Sight Words: is, can, and

Math: Working with numbers 0-10 and 2D shapes

Theme: Apples

Please make sure to put the $5.00 in an envelope or ziplock bag with the note. This help keep everything together and easier for PTO to check off.

Please make sure to send a daily snack and water bottle daily.

Students will need to bring their iPad to school everyday charged and ready to use. The charger will be kept at home. The charger will need to be returned at the end of the school year with the iPad. Please make sure when packing their backpack that their water bottle stays on the outside of the backpack to prevent any water accidents.

Students can explore the Starfall apps at home. Please do not add any apps.

We will be using the iPad daily to become familiar with the apps we will be using in the classroom. Usernames and Passwords will be listed on the back of your child's iPad after we have introduced a few more apps. Please allow them to practice typing in the information with your assistance. This helps us out at school if they learn this information. It is very time consuming to type in 24 usernames/passwords at the same time.

Please keep toys and play jewelry at home. I do not want these items to get lost or broken.
