Students can still sign up for band!
Good news! For those of you who have students in 5th - 9th grades who are interested in learning to play a band instrument, the class has a new schedule to accommodate more of you. The class meets 2 times a week. The new schedule is: Mondays 3:10 - 3:55 pm and Fridays 12:40 - 1:25 pm in room 205 starting Friday, Nov 10th.
Our teacher will be Sarah Casper, an accomplished saxophone and clarinet player and we are proud to have her as one of our own Ascent parents. She is accepting students who want to learn flute, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, trombone and percussion (bell kit and drum pad).
You can register through Riverton Music at Rivertonmusic.com. Students are welcome to bring their own instruments (check with the teacher to make sure it is in good working order) or you can rent one from Riverton Music. Classes are only $20/month so it's a great time to try it out!
We will have 2 school concerts and big combined concert at the end of the year with students from several other schools.
Volunteers for Vision Screenings
We are looking for 3 - 4 volunteers to help with vision screenings on December 13th. Please email hwilliams@ascentutah.org if you are interested.
