CHIPS Weekly Update

With the colder weather, our car line for drop off and pick up has gotten longer and the parking lot can be quite congested at arrival and dismissal. To help keep arrival and dismissal safe, please observe the following:

• Please put your car in park when dropping off/picking up your child
• Be sure to double check before pulling out of a parking spot or the car line
• If parent parking spots are full, please use another empty spot. It may be necessary to circle around the parking lot to do this. Please do not wait in your car next to the car line for a spot to open up.
• Do not pass busses when their lights are flashing
• Please be sure your child is securely buckled in before driving off

This is a friendly reminder that it is important to be on time for both drop off and pick up! When children arrive late, they miss fun classroom activities and instruction. It can be distressing for children to be picked up late. Additionally, staff members have lunch time and other assigned duties between sessions and after the PM session.

We've been having so much winter fun at CHIPS! Our hallway has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland thanks to the PTO. We've been learning about arctic animals and reading lots of winter stories!

"Valentine's Day has long been associated with kisses, candy, parties and special treats".

Please remember to inform friends and families if your child or loved one has any food allergies. CHIPS staff ask that you refrain from sending in any candy and celebrate this joyous day in other fun, safe ways. Below is a helpful link regarding allergy safety. Enjoy!

Please use our absence line (978-251-5188 Option 0) to report your child's absence from school and be sure to state the reason for the absence (illness, appointment, travel, etc). If your child is out due to illness, please let us know the nature of the illness (fever, vomiting, cough, etc.).

Nurse Kristen can be reached by calling the CHIPS main number (978-251-5188) and selecting option 3.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, March 2nd at 6:30pm in the CHIPS cafeteria. As always, there will be a link for those who would like to attend virtually. The meeting link is below.

Our annual sock drive is now underway! We will be collecting new socks of all sizes to donate to The Wish Project all month long.
