Just a reminder that we will be having our Meet & Greet/School Supply Drop Off on Monday, August 30th, from 3:30-5:30pm.

There is still time to sign up for a 30-minute time slot for Meet & Greet using this link! Meet your child's teacher, see their classroom and bring in your school supplies. You do NOT need to stay the entire time. This event is "open house" style. If you'd like to sign up to visit a sibling's class during the same time slot, you may do so.

We also encourage families to stop by and meet Encore teachers including: Art, Guidance, Library, Music, Physical Education and World Language.

We will be clearing the classrooms and hallways between Meet & Greet sessions, and ask you to please move outside once your session has ended. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Due to ongoing COVID safety measures, volunteers are again needed to help supervise our playgrounds at lunchtime and to clean student desks for lunch in the classrooms. Can you help for about an hour? Please click here to see the Volunteer Sign Up Genius. Thank you for your ongoing support of our students!

It is important that your volunteer background check form is up-to-date prior to volunteering in our schools. If you submitted your information last year, you do not need to resubmit for this year. If you are not sure if you have a background check on file, please contact the Prairie Office at 608-849-2200.

All families of returning and new students are required to review and update their household and student information. If you have not had a chance to do this yet, we encourage you to do this today!

Registration will take place online this year in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please complete this by Wednesday, August 25. This process should take 15-20 minutes. To help prevent duplication of information, only the Primary Household member will need to login to their Infinite Campus account and click on the “more” tab to access the online registration. We will not hold on-site registration at any of our buildings. If you have questions or need assistance with Infinite Campus, please send an email to District Registrar, Julie Gengler, at wcsd_registrar@waunakee.k12.wi.us. If you would like assistance with the online registration in a language other than English, please contact District Interpreter and Translator, Angie Ramos, at 608-849-2000, option 2.

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

7:40 a.m. - 2:40 p.m.

Students may arrive as early as 7:15 a.m. Upon arrival to school students should place backpacks, etc. in cubbies, then report to the cafeteria for breakfast or the playground and remain outside until the first bell rings.

If you ordered a School Supply Pack for the 2021-22 school year, you will be able to pick up supplies at Meet & Greet night in your child’s classroom. If you can not make it to Meet & Greet and need to make alternate arrangements for pick up, please contact the Prairie Office. 608-849-2200

UPDATED information regarding Safety Patrol

Due to uncertainties surrounding the beginning of the school year and the small number of students volunteering for our Safety Patrol at this time, we have decided to put things on hold. We will continue to ask for student volunteers and will make a decision at a later date. Stay tuned and thanks to those who have already signed up!
