A note from principal cline
Dear Charger Family,
First, a reminder that there is no school on Monday 2/20.
Many of our team members attended the Digital Learning Annual Conference (DLAC) this past week. This was a great experience and validated a lot of the work that we do at CMVHS. We can truly say that we are far ahead of the curve and this is in large part due to excellent staff, caring and supportive families and an iterative process of continuous improvement. The conference also gave us some ideas and time to think about how to improve. One key component is in parent and student empowerment and orientation. These are areas that we seek to enhance for the 23-24 year.
As winter days of cold and rain drag on, our stressors can be compounded. We want to encourage your students to take advantage of CMVHS Wellness Wednesdays. Students can check these out here. Another great way to boost wellness is to connect with others and we are excited about the many club opportunities we are now offering. Please click here to learn more and don’t hesitate to reach out to the advisor if you have any questions. We’d love to see every student in a club!
If you have a senior and you haven’t gotten a yard sign, now is the time to celebrate your senior and to share the pride with your neighbors. You can order a senior sign here.
At CMVHS, we want every student to graduate career and college ready. Through CTE (Career and Technical Education), our students have access to multiple pathways. Check out the pathways here. Please note that our counseling team and Ms. Jackson can help build you a pathway as a CMVHS student with our partners at NCVPS and CPCC. Pathways ARE available to you at CMVHS.
With the ACT coming up for all juniors on March 7th, we are holding ACT Prep Sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please see information below and encourage your junior to take advantage of these prep sessions to help them earn a high score on this important test. The sessions begin at 2:30 and can be accessed here.
Below are reminders of important upcoming events:
Tue, Mar 7th-All Juniors are Required to take the ACT Exam in-person at CMVHS. Please see below for test prep sessions coming up.
If your child needs any school supplies, we want to help! Please fill out the form below so that Ms. Blumenfeld, CMVHS School Social Worker is aware and can assist.
Seniors: Many of you have earned scholarships. Congratulations! Please complete this form!
