A Message From Our Principal

Happy Sunday!


And...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the Moms! Thanks for all you do for your kids and your family! Truly, without Moms the world would be LOST! I hope all the moms have a great day with family and friends!


GRADUATION

Today's edition of the newsletter is (as you would expect it to be) all about GRADUATION.

NO TICKETS REQUIRED

Note: Seniors from Rancho Vista High School and adult graduates from Temecula Valley Adult School will be GRADUATING TOGETHER along with seniors from Susan H. Nelson High School. That is to say, that all three schools will be participating in the same ceremony at the same time. It should be a great celebration!


As I mentioned in previous weeks, letters and emails have gone out to the families of all seniors. It tells you whether your senior (as of the end of April) was on track (or not) to graduate on June 9th. Did you get your letter and/or email? If not let us know!


As you are aware, 12th graders who want to graduate need to:

--Pass all of their current classes with a C or better

--Complete 10 Hours of Community Service

--Complete either the FAFSA or the 1 minute OPT OUT option linked here.


Cap and Gown Purchase

Just as a reminder, we sent out an update to when Jostens will be coming to RVHS to sell last minute "caps and gowns". This is only for seniors who have not already pre-ordered their cap & gown. The date has changed from what you may have originally put on your calendar! Here’s the new date:

PARKING AT RANCHO VISTA CAMPUS

The parking lot in front of the school off Pio Pico is for staff and visitor parking ONLY. Please see the sign below that is posted at the beginning of the front lot. We have seen many students parking in the lot and taking up the spots that are meant to for staff and visitors. We will be monitoring the front lot and will ask your student to park in the student parking lot below our campus to alleviate our parking situation for out staff and visitors.

Annual Family Update

It is now time to complete your Annual Family Update in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This update is REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS RETURNING TO TVUSD FOR THE 23/24 SCHOOL YEAR.


Any student who does not have a completed Annual Update:


  • may not be enrolled in a class for the 23/24 school year
  • may not receive a schedule
  • and may not be able to participate in school business days in August.


It is imperative that all families complete the Annual Family Update as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your child's enrollment for next school year.

Please note, this process is for RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY. If you have a child in your family who will be new to TVUSD for the 23/24 school year, you must complete the New Student Enrollment process. Click HERE for New Student Enrollment instructions.

IMPORTANT!! CHROMEBOOK INSPECTION

Our librarian will be inspecting all Chromebooks starting on May 8th to May 19th for students in grades 9-11.


Students, please bring your Chromebooks to Ms. Cammie in the library for inspection when you meet with your teacher some time between 5/8/23 and 5/19/23. At that time you need to let her know if you will be returning to SHNS in the Fall. Returning students can keep their device over the summer break.


If students are not returning next year, all devices need to be returned on their last day of school.


All seniors need to return Chromebooks on their last day.

Please note the first day of school is Friday, June 16th
No school on Monday 6/19/23 & Tuesday 7/4/22

MSJC HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR DAYS 2023 -- This Week!

Three days, three sites; from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on all three days, May 9, visit the Temecula Valley Campus, on May 10 at the Menifee Valley Campus and on May 11 at the San Jacinto Campus. Locations and campus maps at; https://www.msjc.edu/locations/



Get assistance with all the steps for enrollment, navigating registration, making a counseling appointment for your first year Educational Plan, take a tour and meet with other student and academic success Programs.
