Campus Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
Each FISD campus has several supports in place to ensure each student receives personalized attention and assistance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The comprehensive MTSS webpage has resources to empower staff and parents with valuable information about the different tiers of support to enhance collaboration between schools and families.
Please explore the valuable resources and information, aimed at empowering families to make informed decisions.
Minett Parent Learning Walks
These tours are ONLY for parents/guardians of CURRENT Minett Students. Parents must provide their driver's license or passport upon checking in, as well as providing their student(s) name.
Each parent must sign up. For example, if a mom and dad want to attend a learning walk on the same day, they must be signed up for TWO TOTAL spots (one for mom and one for dad).
Please sign up here.
Reach out to Kyla Prusak at prusakk@friscoisd.org for any questions.
Lunch Visitors
The school year is getting into full swing and there are lots of exciting things happening! One being parent visitors at lunch! Lunch is a point of the day we spend a lot of time teaching expectations and ensuring it is an enjoyable time for all students.
If you are planning to come visit your child at lunch, we ask that you hold tight to the following expectations:
1. Please only plan to visit your child at lunch, at maximum one time per week. Our reasoning behind this is that lunch is a social time for students to talk with their classmates and build their social connections.
2. We will be dismissing parents five minutes before lunch ends due to a silent cleanup/line up.
3. Fridays are very popular for lunch visitors. Considering coming to lunch on another day during the week to spread out the number of visitors.
Calling all WatchDOGS!
Minett is excited to announce that we are starting our WATCHDOG program again! This is a way to have positive role models on our campus volunteering in the classroom and throughout our school. See this document for more information and how you can sign up to come serve at Minett!
