Monday will be picture retake day. Retake day is for new students and staff members, transfer students, or for anyone who may have missed the initial picture day, OR for anyone who was unhappy with their original picture and would like to give it another try. If a student would like the retake photo to replace the original photo, please have the student return the original picture package to the photographer on picture day. We will replace the original package at no additional cost.

If this is the first time being photographed, just have the student/staff go to the camera and we’ll create a proof for them that will be sent to the school (and/or to their family email if we have that information). These proofs will be delivered approx. 4 weeks after picture day. An order code will be on the proof along with ordering instructions.

Thank you to everyone that attended parent- teacher conferences. If you could not attend the conferences on Thursday or Friday, you can still talk with your child's teacher about their academic progress. Simply email the teacher to schedule a phone call or an appointment, whichever is convenient for you. We prioritize your child's success, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

We understand that as a parent, you may have specific concerns about your child's education and well-being. However, during student pickup, our teachers need to focus on ensuring a safe departure for all students with their families. We also respect the privacy of our students and their families, and therefore, we do not hold personal conversations about a student during this time. If you would like to speak with your child's teacher, please feel free to use one of the communication methods provided, and our teacher will respond to you as soon as possible. Congratulations to Mrs. Hugh's third-grading for winning the October Show Up class competition. 98% of her students were on time throughout the month of October!

For the month of November the class with the most improvement in the percent of students tardy will win the competition and an award. We want to make sure everyone has enough time to get ready for the day and start learning at 8:30, so arriving on time is super important. Let's keep up the great work and make punctuality and education our top priorities!

When your child attends school regularly and on time, they have the opportunity to excel academically and to establish a positive daily routine for learning.

Regular attendance allows for students to be involved in lessons, develop relationships with their peers, and make the most out of their education. It also gives the teacher the opportunity to assess each student and effectively plan ahead.

Excessive absences can lead to students missing out on important information or falling behind in their learning. Regular school attendance is an important indicator of your child's performance and success as they grow. Simply put, absences add up.

As part of our commitment to safety, we conduct several drills throughout the school year to ensure preparedness in the event of an emergency. Every month, we hold fire drills in collaboration with the Manchester Fire Department, and we also conduct other school-directed drills at different times during the year. Recently, we held a reverse evacuation drill to familiarize students with the process of quickly getting back into the building after recess, and a lockdown drill on Friday to train students on responding to a potential threat. Before each drill, we inform the students of the drill through morning announcements and provide them with guidance on what to do. We understand that these drills can be unsettling, so we take all necessary precautions to ensure they are as predictable as possible. It is beneficial to review these practices with your child at home to reinforce the importance of being prepared in case of a real emergency.

8:00-Doors open for Breakfast only

8:15-Doors open K+1 enter in cafeteria, 2+4 enter in back library door, and 3+5 enter in the garden door.

8:25-Doors close and gates are locked. All students must enter the main office and are tardy. You will receive an automated call that your student was late for school.

2:50-Dismissal on the playground.

Check your students backpack for their green communication folder. There are many papers in their folder to start the year that need to be filled out and returned to the school.

If you're interested in helping out with classroom preparation, supervising during lunch, or organizing games at recess, please contact Mrs. Wheeler at the office to participate. We appreciate any extra help!

Nov. 22 - 24 - Thanksgiving Break. No School.

Students can buy a bag of freshly popped popcorn for only 50 cents every Wednesday as a snack. Popcorn orders are taken during attendance in the morning, so students need to arrive on time to place their order. Each student is limited to two bags. A big thank you to our dedicated parent volunteers who make this treat possible!
