Bethel Elementary Day at BMS Football Game Tomorrow Night🏈💙

We were very excited to have the 8th grade cheerleaders and football players at BES this morning at our car line, bus loop, and cafeteria!


Tomorrow, Thursday, September 7th, is the first annual BES night at a Bethel Middle football game! The game begins at 5 pm (not 4:30 like my previous phone message) and students get in FREE!! We hope you will come out to Bethel Middle School and support the Blue Demons as they play Waynesville Middle School!!

Tuesday, September 19th, 5:30-7:00 PM

We are very excited about our Open House on Tuesday, September 19th from 5:30-7:00 PM! Thank you Bethel Youth and Canton Rec League for canceling ball practices on this night so all students can attend!! We are hoping to have 100% participation! All families will go to the gym at 5:00 for a brief meeting and then everyone will be dispersed to go to their classrooms.

Carrabba's Italian Grill

Carrabba's Italian Grill will be available to purchase at our Open House! We will be sending home a flyer on Monday with purchase information, food choices, payment due date, etc. Be sure to look for the flyer! We are really excited about to offer something different for our families! Comparing the cost of Carrabbas to local restaurants, it was the same price and even cheaper than many places!

When you walk through the door at Open House, you will receive a ticket. Your ticket could win you several amazing prizes!! More info on prizes next week!!

Car Line Update 🚗

Thank you for your patience with car line! With almost 80 kindergarten car riders, we feel like it's gone quite well as we are learning how to navigate through the line. Thanks for using your car tags, staying in the same lane when you get into one, and for your smiles and thumbs up as we walk by! I have been helping with the kindergarteners inside so we can get them to their families quicker...they sure are a sweet bunch!! We are working with DOT to get the lanes painted at the road better and will continue to look at our car line situation as September rolls on.

🗓 Coming Up! Candy Bar Fundraiser! 🍫

We will begin our candy bar fundraiser on September 18th! Your child will receive a permission slip if you would like to help sell a box of candy (or three). All money from the fundraiser (candy bars are $1 each!) will be used to help our students at BES!! Look for a flyer in your child's take home folder or book bag soon and thank you in advance for your support!!

2.Book of the Month

Your child will have the opportunity to bring home our Book of the Month! Please take time to read it with your child and ask them questions about it. This month's book is Jabari Jumps by Gaia Cornwell. There are several You Tube and reading sites that will also read the book to your child. Thanks for encouraging your child to read each night and for reading our Book of the Month to them!
