Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Week, I wanted to take a moment to share with you the significance of this observance and how we, as a school community, can honor the legacy of Dr. King.
This week provides us with an invaluable opportunity to engage our students in discussions about diversity, equality, and the importance of standing up for what is right. Dr. King's message of peace, love, and justice continues to inspire generations, and it is essential that we instill these values in our children.
Throughout the week, our teachers will be incorporating age-appropriate activities and discussions into their lesson plans to help students understand the impact of Dr. King's leadership in the civil rights movement. It is our hope that these conversations will encourage empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation for the diverse tapestry of our community.
I invite you to continue these discussions at home and to reinforce the importance of treating others with kindness and respect, regardless of their background. Together, we can help our children develop a strong sense of empathy and an understanding of the importance of embracing diversity.
As we celebrate this holiday week, let's reflect on the progress that has been made and the work that still lies ahead in creating a more just and inclusive society. I am grateful for your partnership in educating our students and for your continued support of our school community.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children.
Warmest regards,
Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.
Principal
