MLK Weekend

This is a reminder that we have a half day on January 13th and no school on January 16th as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Dr. King wrote, spoke, marched, and stood up for what he believed in. What is unique about MLK Day compared to other federal holidays is that it is the only holiday designated as a national day of service. MLK Day not only honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but it encourages all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

Each Family CharacterDare offers families the opportunity to engage in challenges designed to increase connection and conversation at home. These CharacterDare challenges also provide students with more opportunities to practice habits discussed in class.

Attendance Matters!!

School attendance is so important for your child. Showing up consistently can be a real challenge for some. We know it can get challenging during the winter months. As we are all finding our way getting back into routines this week, we would like to share these suggestions to promote good attendance all winter long.
