Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Valentine's Day is a time to celebrate love, kindness, and appreciation, and we encourage our students to participate in activities that promote these values. Throughout the week, our teachers will be incorporating themed lessons and activities to encourage kindness and compassion among our students. We also invite you to join in the spirit of Valentine's Day by sharing special moments with your children and expressing your love and appreciation for them. I also want to remind you to review the letter sent by Barry Williams on February 1st as it gives guidance on Valentine’s items at school. A copy of the letter is below in the Announcement Flyers section.
Additionally, reaching the 100th day of school is a significant milestone in your child's educational journey. It marks a time of growth, learning, and achievement, and we are incredibly proud of the progress our students have made thus far. The 100th day means that students are more than halfway through the year, as most schools have 180 days in their calendar year. We encourage you to celebrate this milestone with your children and reflect on the wonderful experiences they have had during their time at Van Wert Elementary School.
As we celebrate these special occasions, I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and partnership. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and we are grateful for the trust you have placed in us to nurture and educate your children.
I encourage you to engage with your children about the significance of Valentine's Day and the 100th day of school, and to join us in making this week a memorable and enriching experience for them.
Thank you for being a part of our school community. We look forward to celebrating these special occasions with you and your children.
Wishing you and your family a love-filled Valentine's Day and a joyous celebration of the 100th day of school!
Warm regards,
Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.
