Congratulations NJHS Members

Wednesday, May 24th saw 33 new members inducted into the Norwich Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. These students have worked very hard through their Middle School years to have great grades, outstanding character, and provide service to others. It was an honor to welcome these students into the NJHS family.

Memorial Day Weekend Extended

Due to unused snow days, the Memorial Day weekend has been extended. There will be no school on Friday, May 26, Monday, May 29, and Tuesday, May 30th.

We hope everyone has a great extended weekend, and we remember why we have the days off, in honor of those who have given all for us. Please take any opportunity to honor those who have given everything for our freedoms.

8th Grade Career Day

Today the Norwich Middle School hosted a Career Exploration Day for 8th-grade students. There were 12 local professions for students to learn from. Presenters discussed their educational pathway and the skills necessary to be successful. We would like to thank the following people who came and presented.

Attendance Matters

May and June are like the final bosses of the school year for middle school students. Just when you think you've made it through all the levels, these months sneak up on you with their last-minute assignments, final exams, and projects. Showing up to school and being present in class is crucial during this time because students do not want to miss a thing. It’s not much longer until the year has ended and summer will be upon us. We want to make the most of our time together over the next few weeks. Show up every day!

7th Grade Year End Trip - Date Change

Although it was confirmed and verified before the calendar was sent out with report cards, we have had to change the 7th grade year end trip date to Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Please update your calendars and make sure you have this date marked clearly as a change. More information will be coming home soon regarding all our year end trips!!

Each Family CharacterDare offers families the opportunity to engage in challenges designed to increase connection and conversation at home. These CharacterDare challenges also provide students with more opportunities to practice habits discussed in class.
