Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to you today as we approach the month of February, which marks the beginning of Black History Month. This is an important time for us to celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of Black individuals throughout history. It is an opportunity for us to highlight and acknowledge the pivotal role that Black Americans have played in shaping the fabric of our nation.
During this month, our school will be focusing on incorporating Black history into our curriculum and classroom discussions. We believe that it is essential for our students to learn about the rich and diverse tapestry of American history, including the struggles and triumphs of the Black community.
We encourage you to engage in conversations with your child about the significance of Black history and the importance of diversity and inclusion. We also invite you to explore resources and activities that can further enhance your child's understanding of this important part of our nation's heritage.
Throughout the month of February, our teachers will be integrating Black history into their lesson plans and classroom activities. We believe that by doing so, we can create a learning environment that fosters empathy, understanding, and respect for all cultures and backgrounds.
I want to assure you that our school is committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity, and we are dedicated to providing a well-rounded education that embraces the contributions of all individuals, regardless of their background.
I encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher or our school administration if you have any questions or would like to learn more about how we are incorporating Black history into our curriculum.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education. Together, we can make Black History Month a meaningful and enriching experience for our students.
Warm regards,
Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.
Principal
