Fire dept. will be here to teach the kids about fire safety for K-2

When: Friday October 28th.

Time: 9:00 am

Field Trip to Autumn Acres

When: Thursday October 20th

Kindergarten will be at the pumpkin patch all morning.

Field Trip to The Apple Hutch

When: Friday October 14th

The second grade students will be visiting the apple hutch in Plains Kansas. The bus will be leaving the school around 9:00 am and be back around 2:30 pm.

Parents are welcome to join us but keep in mind you will have to pay your own admission and drive yourself there.

To further help our school be a safe and respectful place, we will be using the Bullying Prevention Unit in the month of October. In the lessons, your child will learn specific skills to help stop bullying. Students will learn how to:

RECOGNIZE when bullying is happening

Bullying is mean or hurtful behavior that keeps happening

REPORT bullying to a caring adult

REFUSE to let bullying happen to themselves or others

Be a BYSTANDER who stands up and is part of the solution to bullying

Home Link activities to practice with your students will also be sent home through talking points each week.

**In addition to our bullying unit we will also be addressing Red Ribbon Week (drug prevention/healthy choices) October 24-28, please be on the lookout for the flyer.
