OLHMS celebrated the patriotism and sacrifices of these heroes on Friday, November 3rd during our annual Veterans Day assembly. OLHMS 8th grade Student Ambassadors welcomed over 75 Veterans to the ceremony. Dr. Sean McNichols, OLHMS Principal, gave the opening remarks and welcomed the OLHMS community and Veterans to our celebration.

Mr. Terry Vorderer, United States Army, 1st Infantry Division, Retired Oak Lawn Police, Chief of Patrol, and current Mayor of Oak Lawn, gave a moving speech to the OLHMS student body and Veterans.

The OLHMS Concert Band, directed by Mr. John Kehl and Mrs. Beth Lyons, performed a beautiful rendition of American Collage, arranged by Michael Story.
Honoring and Recognizing the Fallen Soldiers at The Fallen Soldier Table
The Fallen Soldier Table is reserved to honor our brave American soldiers who have been taken prisoner on foreign soil, those who went missing, those who have not returned home to us, and those who have perished.
