Autism Spectrum Disorder Class

Join us as we dig deeply into Autism Spectrum Disorder and Other Developmental Disorders. Through this 2-day class, participants will:

• Learn the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders and be able to define the Autism Spectrum Disorder categories, including how these characteristics relate to other Developmental Disorders.
• Identify ways in which students with ASD may learn differently than other students and determine classroom supports that are in alignment with individual student need.
• Explore visual supports, appropriate communication strategies, & appropriate behavior strategies for learners with Developmental Disorders.

General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Early Childhood, Paraprofessionals, Social Workers, Consultants, Psychologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational/Physical Therapists, Parents, and AEA Employees.
