Mother Nature has brought us some colder temeratures. Our students go outside twice a day for 20 minute blocks of time. Please be sure they have appropriate clothing for the changing temps. PWPSD asks that students who ride on their buses be dressed appropriately.

Bring in non-perishable food items or donations until Dec 12.

Christmas Dress Up Day

Please join us Friday December 16 @ 10:00 am or 2:00 pm in our school Gym.

Mrs. Johnson and our Grade 4 - 6 students will blow you away with their musical abilities!

Please join us on Tuesday, December 20 @ 7:00 pm at the Source Energy Centre in Wembley.

Tickets available for purcahse at the door or in advance at HET. (cash only please)

Mrs. Grinde & Mrs. Eifert along with our talented student performers have been working tirelessly to bring you this amazing performance!

Mrs. Underwood is hosting 2 clubs with some Junior High students at lunch breaks, a book club and an inclusivity club.

We use Munch a Lunch, an online order & payment site. You will need to set up an account (if you don't already have one) and order & pay (at the time of ordering) with a credit card.

Lunch days are Tuesday & Thursdays.

HET has a closed campus policy. This means that your child can NOT leave the school without you signing him/her out, in person. You can appoint another adult to do so, please call the office and let us know who that may be.

If you are sending your child to school with a cell phone, our expectations are:

Elementary students--no phones (unless teacher approved).

Junior high students--phones ONLY at breaks 11:25-12:05 &

1:25-2:05 (unless teacher approved).

If your child does not have a lock on his/her locker, the phone can be locked in the offfice.

This is the guideline PWPSD uses when determining when to cancel buses.

Get the app to keep up to date with your bus' status.

If/when all Wembley buses are cancelled, this includes the BRHS transfer buses for Grades 10-12.

We are looking for a new piano teacher to offer lessons at HET. If you know of someone, send them our way.

Please note our days off for the 2022/23 school year.

Reminder...our school MAY have different days off than other schools in or outside of our district.

If your child will be absent from school, please phone the office (780) 766-9103 or email barbaramurphy@pwpsd.ca or your child's teacher. Our automated call home goes out at

9:05 AM so if you have not notified us prior to that, you will receive a call.

We would love to see parents join our HET School Council. Please read the attachment--you may be surprised to know what the role of a School Council is. Looking forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
