Middle School Students Make the Grade
6th grade - 64% of our students on honor roll
7th Grade - 60% of our students on honor roll
8th grade - 60% of our students on honor roll
We are so proud of our student's hard work, and look forward to increasing this percentage as the year progresses.
Congratulations to our students for their hard work and dedication to learning, and thank you to our caregivers for their support. Without your guidance to your student, none of this would be possible.

Middle School Matters: Boosting Attendance for Brighter Futures!
Hey Middle School Families!
A Little Dip in November: We've noticed our usually strong attendance (a whopping 95%!) took a tiny tumble to 91% last month. With 634 absences, it seems a few of our bright stars were out. We get it, sometimes sniffles and coughs can't be helped. But remember, every day at school counts!
🎯 Aim for Awesome Attendance: Let's set a goal together - no more than 2 absences a month. Why? Because being present means being part of the learning, the fun, and the unforgettable middle school journey!
🚨 What's "Chronically Absent"? More than 2 absences a month. We want to see all our students thrive, and being in class is a big part of that!
🌈 Why Be in School? Let's Count the Ways!
1. Learning is Like a Puzzle: Each day is a piece of the knowledge puzzle. Miss a day, and you might miss a vital piece!
2. Friends & Fun: School is more than books and quizzes; it's about laughter, friendship, and unforgettable moments.
3. Skills for the Future: Every lesson builds skills for a bright future. Don't miss out on the small steps that lead to big dreams!
Across our district, we're all about improving school attendance. Here at our middle school, we're taking a closer look at each student's journey. Because when you're here, you're not just at school - you're on the path to success.
Together, let's aim high and be present – because every day is a chance to learn, grow, and shine!

Resources for Minors Receiving Working Papers
- With the holiday shopping season underway, young people may be at higher risk of Child Labor Law violations including unlawful working conditions, long hours, and hazardous tasks.
- To raise awareness of the rights of minors in the workforce, all districts, schools, and BOCES that issue working papers are strongly encouraged to distribute two new documents with each Employment Certificate or Permit they issue.
- These two documents, NYS Child Labor Law Card for Workers (P886), and NYS Child Labor Law Card for Employers (P887) are distributed by the NYS Department of Labor to alert young people to their rights as workers and to outline the responsibilities of employers. (Additional languages available)
- Schools, districts, and BOCES can also share the New York State Department of Labor’s Young Workers, Know Your Rights! video with young people and families. (Spanish language available)
- Individuals who become aware of a violation of Child Labor Law can report their concerns through the NYS Department of Labor’s Employment of Minors web page.
- Questions regarding working papers may be directed to the Office of Student Support Services at studentsupportservices@nysed.gov.
