Message from the Principal
Hello Families,
The week leading up to a break is always filled with mixed emotions, especially when there is a huge wind storm thrown in the mix! The spirit days we planned will hopefully keep the mood light and joyful as we count down to the new year. On Thursday, our fourth graders will be singing for the school and showcasing their holiday show. Mr. Clavette, our music teacher, will be finishing the week strong by leading us in a holiday sing along. I cannot wait to see all the kids and staff gather together for this - it is one of my favorite moments!
The last day to access the report cards is Wednesday, December 20th. We have a 75% access rate, meaning that 25% of report cards have not been opened. As I mentioned before, it is important for you to have access to the report cards. If there is something we can be doing to help those who have not been able to get the report card, please let us know. Although my goal would be 100%, I am hoping to reach at least 80% by Wednesday.
We have a short week this week. Our last day before break is Thursday, and it is a regular full day of school. We return on Tuesday, January 2nd! On behalf of the Studley staff we wish you a restful break, happy holiday, and a wonderful new year. Looking forward to ringing in 2024!
Mrs. Boyle
Grade 4 Holiday Show
Our fourth graders performed for their families on Wednesday night. It was such an amazing event. The students were filled with joy as they smiled and danced their little hearts off. It was another reminder of what special kids we have here, and that is a testament to all of you. They really are a gift, and we thank you for sharing them with us.
Grade 4 at the Providence Bruins
Our 4th graders also had the privilege of singing at the opening of the Providence Bruins game on Friday night. Our students certainly made us proud. They were well behaved, respectful, and sounded amazing! A big thank you to Alan Clavette for his leadership with this and Mrs. Lamonica for supporting the students. I also want to thank our cheering section - you were all amazing!
Grade 2 Swim Program
Our swimming program will start the week we return from break. Please return your permission slips ASAP if you have not done so already. We need these to make plans, so we are ready to go for the start of the program.
Community Resource and Support Liaison
Michelle Christopher, a Studley staff member, is also our Community Resource and Support Liaison. If you ever find yourself needing supports but do not know where to turn, she can help. Her role is to connect families with community resources that you may not know are even available. We are here to help each other, so please reach out to me if you would like to connect with Ms. Christopher. You can also reach out to her directly at mailto:mchristopher@attleboroschools.com.
Attendance All Call
Winter Weather
As the weather gets colder, we want to remind you that we will be going out to recess as often as we can. We will only be indoors if it is wet from rain/snow or if the "feels like" temperature is less than 25 degrees. Please send your child to school with warm clothing (hats, gloves and coats) to help students stay warm in the brisk cold air!
What's Happening?
Each week we will be posting updates on what is happening at Studley. Last week, fourth grade shared a little bit about what the students have been up to! Please take a look and enjoy...
