Better Together: Pinney Has Heart Career Connections
This year one of our building goals is to expose kids to different career opportunities. In an effort to Always Grow, we are interested in adding a career component to Pinney Has Heart (February 14). We are seeking guest speakers with careers related to heart health (see attatchment) to talk with a class or two on February 14th between 10:00-10:45 and/or 2:00-2:45. If you are interested, please review the document below and then email Mrs. Tzagournis, tzagournis_hope@dublinschools.net or Mr. Page, page_joshua@dublinschools.net.
Note: Depending on availability and response, we may not be able to use each volunteer for this event. Thank you for understanding. Please remember this day of community outreach and focusing on our own health takes place of traditional Valentine's Day Parties, therefore, we will not exchange traditional Valentines. Please be on the look out for more details in the coming weeks.
Always Growing: R2 Get Your Mind Right
We continue learning about the R-Factor disciplines this month, and next is Get Your Mind Right. After we Press Pause, we focus on our mindset. Students will learn how to talk positively to themselves and how to reframe situations with a “get to” mindset rather than a “have to” mindset. We know that we cannot control events that happen, but we can control our response and the mindset we bring to the event. This phrase can help us all engage positively and purposefully with each other and the world around us.
