Greeting!

Just a few reminders as we continue to adjust to our new "norm". Student and staff are expected to wear mask at all times in the building. Mask must be worn covering both the nose and mouth. Students are also expected to social distance within the halls, classrooms, and all other school areas. Teachers have created seating charts to assist with social distancing and to allow us to "contact trace" if necessary.

Reminder students should be bringing their Chromebooks to school daily. We are not sharing supplies or devices as a preventative method to assist in keeping students safe. Chromebook needs or issues should be reported to front office staff.

The end of the first rotation is closely approaching. September 4, 2020 is the last day of rotation one. Students are expected to have completed at least their first 2 credits of the school year. If student stay on track they have the potential of earning above and beyond the normal amount of credits by the end of the year.

Students should be checking email, canvas, and synergy accounts daily. Teacher's are regularly updating courses and checking work.

Parents can view their students "Warren Password" on the ParentVUE Student Info tab. Parents can click on Student Info and then scroll to the bottom of the page. They will see their students' passwords right after the bus info.

Please note: The video is an example from an Algebra 1 class. You may not be in this class or have this teacher, but it is will still help you with any of your classes.

CANVAS TUTORIAL

The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognition if you notify your child's school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.

In order for our schools to be in compliance with the state laws regarding immunizations, please make sure that your student(s) have their updated information on file with your school's nursing staff. All student vaccines must be on file and up to date by September 21, 2020 to avoid exclusion. Please make your school's nursing staff aware of any upcoming appointments for vaccines, or if there are any medical or religious objections to your student receiving his or her vaccines

Also, PLEASE inform your school's nurse of any chronic health conditions that the school should be made aware of, and that your student's medical emergency information is up to date.

If you qualify for and wish to receive Free/Reduced Textbook Rental this school year and you are not Directly Certified, you will need to complete an application either online at lunchapplication.com or by stopping by front office to pick up a paper come. .

We are asking that each student "self-screens" daily. The following questions should be asked and answered daily. If a student answers "YES" to any of these questions we would ask that they stay at home and notify the school immediately.

1. Are you currently experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or at least two of the following symptoms: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell?

2. Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19?

3. Within the past 14 days, have you been near anyone who has been diagnosed with or experiencing the symptoms of COVID-19?

Warren is excited to announce that we have upgraded to a new student information system called Synergy. This means that our old parent portal, Tyler, will be going away. Instead, the parent portal will be upgraded to Synergy’s ParentVUE. ParentVUE is an online tool to help you monitor your student’s education. It allows you to update contact information and provides you with access to the latest information about your child’s attendance and scheduling. Our middle and high school families can view class assignments, report card grades, and course history with ParentVUE.

Once ParentVUE is available, parents who have a previous Tyler account will receive an email with instructions about setting up your new username and password. If you do not have a Tyler SIS account, please complete a registration form located on our parent portal webpage and return it to your school to begin the process of activating your account.

ParentVUE is a great way to stay connected with your student's school and track their academic progress. It also helps us stay in contact with you!

In an attempt to keep students safe we are asking that students bring their individual devices from home to school daily. There will be no sharing of Chromebooks. Chromebooks will not be available in classrooms. Students will need to bring their devices, charging chords, and cases everyday to school.
