Graduation Ceremony Requirements

Students must meet all graduation requirements to participate in the graduation ceremony. If a student does not pass a required or needed class for graduation second semester, the student will not participate in the graduation ceremony. KVHS will provide an opportunity through the PLATO program so that the student may meet graduation requirements during the summer months.

If there are concerns for your student, please contact your child's counselor.

This is a long standing policy and is consistent with most schools in the area and state.

All credit recovery classes taken throughout the year for seniors must be completed by the last day of school to count towards graduation.

The Porter County Expo Center, where KVHS has held PROM for many years, is under renovations. The Expo Center could not guarantee the renovations would be complete by the time PROM is being held.

The 2019 PROM will be held at the St. Peter & Paul Macedonian Banquet Hall in Crown Point. Dinner is served at the Hall, which is a nice change from the past. This is a popular PROM location for many schools and we are excited to try a new location.
