Halloween Parade

We will celebrate Halloween with our traditional Halloween Parade around the bus loop. Parents are allowed to attend but will not be allowed in the building for classroom parties. Students may bring in pre-packaged treats only. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I will communicate this information in our Huskie Highlights on Friday as well.

Please Help Mrs. Thormeier’s Special Education Classroom with donations that you might have around the house. The classroom is looking for supplies to set up a calming/sensory corner. These are items like bean bag chairs, foldable chairs, yoga balls, weighted blankets, fidget toys, coloring books, Hotwheels cars, pillows/material/stuffed animals with sequence to flip up and down, bubbles, kaleidoscope, wonder tubes, and palm massager. The classroom is also in need of children's puzzles, building blocks, highlighter pens, educational toys, games/board games (example: Candy Land), magnatiles, stencils, legos, superhero action figures, dinosaurs, trains and train tracks, little toy trucks, baby doll with hair, and play food. Thank you so much for your support! You are making a difference in their lives and this world.

The literacy leadership team is excited to announce that we will be hosting a family literacy night, Nov. 4th from 6 pm-7 pm. We will go over MTSS, Read by Grade 3 Law, grade-level literacy curriculum, and student learning goals, and have activities parents can do at home to help their child. Please help students remember to bring water bottles to school. Our water fountains can fill them, but the drinking fountain is turned off.

Donations of store-bought water bottles are greatly appreciated and may be dropped off at the office.

If you are a student attending Hemlock Public Schools, St. Peter Lutheran School, or St. John Lutheran School, then you are eligible for a Student Library Card, even if you live outside the library's normal service district! (You only need to apply for a student card if you live outside Richland or Fremont townships; if you live in one of these townships, you can get a regular library card).
